between_time_and_42So I'm doing this thing that I totally failed to plug when the first series came out, of musical performance reviews for a blog called One SNL a Day 2.0. It's a follow-up to a previous project called One SNL a Day, where a fan reviewed one episode of Saturday Night Live every day until he caught up to the current season that was airing. Unfortunately, the commitment got to be too much and he ended up bailing on the project a couple reviews in season 43 (and I wish him the best, I hope he's living a happy SNL-free life right now!). Because I had been reading the blog for a few months over the summer of 2020, and I had always been disappointed by the fact that there were only sketch reviews and no reviews of musical performances, I offered my reviewing services when it looked like a few fans were going to band together and continue the project, and so far it's been very interesting and fun and I've really enjoyed playing even a small part in this revival! That was all to say, I just wrote a review of Jonas Brothers' performance from season 44, which brought to mind (as they always do, since Vine has permanently corrupted my brain) that vine that goes "The Jonas Brothers can't break up, they're BROTHERS~" and that in turn reminded me of when I was last at a record store and I asked the employee behind the counter if he could order me anything by Sparks and he said the only one currently available in stock was "the one that came out last year, the reunion album" and I just thought, you would not call it a "reunion album" if you knew anything about Sparks bwahahaha
...But anyway, please check out the project if you're so inclined- hopefully we'll have the next round of reviews out later this month, or maybe at the beginning of November?
