between_time_and_42Sooooooooo because I finished all this up much sooner than I thought I would... Surprise fic-drop! Hooray!! (Usually I'd do a fic-drop on Friday because of the alliteration, but I just can't wait to have this posted and shared... The official drop on Tumblr will be on the 25th.)
Here, in its entirety, is Part 1 of my NaNoWriMo novel. There will be at least four other parts that follow it, eventually. I aim to have the entire work completed by June of 2023, but you never know how life is going to turn out...

Title: Strange Fascination: A Love Story.
Fandom: Concept Album Multiverse- a universe where several concept album plots take place at the same time. This is set before the events of Genesis' The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway, after the events of Pink Floyd's The Wall, and during the events of David Bowie's The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars, Green Day's American Idiot, and Coldplay's Mylo Xyloto.
Rating: M. Currently just for swearing, but later on in the fic there will be drug use, mental health struggles, sexual situations, and a bit of violence.
Pairings: Slow-burn Ziggy Stardust/Floyd Pinkerton, as well as the canonical Mylo/Xyloto and Johnny/Whatsername. Other pairings (such as a third character added to one of these pairings to create a love triangle, and a one-night stand between two other characters) will also occur.
Word Count: 44,922 and counting
Summary: After a disastrous tour of America, rock star Pink wants nothing more than to retire from the music business. His record label, however, wants nothing more than a new Pink Floyd album. In the process of fulfilling his contractual obligations, Pink becomes acquainted with the young up-and-comer Ziggy Stardust, who wants nothing more than fame- but why? Their meeting gradually fulfills their desires, as well as others that neither of the two could have anticipated.
Meanwhile, several young Americans– Rael, Mylo, Xyloto, and Johnny– want nothing more than to live for the first time in their lives. A difficult task to accomplish, seeing as the Earth has been given a deadline of five years...
