Things that made my day better

between_time_and_42So today was not a great day, but towards the end of it, a few things brightened it immensely:
-First, Sparks posted this picture where they are both serving LOOKS:
(I want that red suit so much... plus, red and black is one of the best color combinations, I wear that combination all the time)
Then, when I went to tumblr to reblog it (yeah, I pretty much only go on there for the Goods(TM) that the Sparks fandom posts lol), I saw that there was a photoset of Ron & Russell in what looked like a mini studio, wearing the same outfits... with Catherine Ringer there!! Catherine Ringer has collaborated with Sparks in the past, as part of her band Les Rita Mitsouko, and they've been special guests at some of her concerts before... and the most recent gifset I made for the fandom was from one of their collaborations, so she'd been on my mind, and here Ron & Russell are collaborating with her again. I don't know if it's a new song or if they're doing an updated version of one of the old songs or what, but I really hope I get to hear it soon (and I hope there's a video! Catherine Ringer is a beautiful, beautiful woman, and a very talented singer & charismatic performer (admittedly, I need to listen to more Les Rita Mitsouko though) and with those fashionable Sparks fellas on either side of her, I hope it's a treat for the eyes AND ears).
-Punch Brothers announced a new tour today!!! The second installment of the American Acoustic Tour, which originally took place in 2017 and featured I'm With Her as well as Julian Lage. This installment features Watchhouse (the only album by whom to which I've listened I found really boring) and Sarah Jarosz on select dates (who is one third of I'm With Her, but the one whose solo music I haven't really listened to much), so I'm less enthused, plus it's not like the tour is coming near me or I could afford to see it if it did... but I was happy because it makes me think I'll get to see Punch Brothers again in the near future and maybe I'll have a better time than the last time when I do.
-I printed out some of the art pieces I've commissioned while I was at work (now that I know how to post pictures here, I should share them at some point!), and when I got home I put them on my corkboard, which I made to hang up on the wall at my new place, and now it's complete and I'm really happy with it and I can't wait to hang it up. It has the aforementioned commissions, some musician postcards that I've collected (mainly Sparks, David Byrne, Chris Thile, and I'm With Her), some Kingsman fanart that my best fandom friend sent me, and all of the postcards she's sent to me over the years, plus a few other odds and ends. I'm really proud of it!
And yes, I moved recently and that went well. Three days in and I'm enjoying my new place a lot. Sure, some things could be better (mostly how dark my room is at night, but that just gives me an excuse to light candles, which I enjoy doing), but I'm really happy to have my own space and I feel very comfortable here.
