between_time_and_42So I was reading a Wikipedia article about Ali Hewson, Bono's wife, and after talking about all of her political and personal achievements, there was a section about how big of an influence she's been on U2's music, as Bono drew inspiration for many songs from his relationship with her. And it just made me think... Imagine that's your legacy. Imagine your legacy is solely related to your relationship with a man. Imagine only being remembered for inspiring a man to create works of art. Imagine being a professional muse.
I dunno. I don't think Ali is being reduced to nothing more than Bono's wife. She shouldn't be, anyway. But it just made me think of someone going down in history for their contributions to a certain art... only it's not their own art, but someone else's who they inspired. There could be a song or a story in that.
