I just have to say. I regret so much that I only saw Annette once in the theaters. I should have gone with my dad when it opened in a second theater in my hometown. By the time he saw it, he said he wished he’d seen it in theaters, but I was on vacation and it was out of theaters shortly after. I really, really regret not letting him know that it was in theaters sooner. We could have gone, I could have seen his reactions in real time and I might have gained a deeper appreciation for the film sooner. And I don’t think it’s ever going to play in theaters again, so my only hope for having such an experience in the future lies in the hands of whatever musical Sparks decide to make next.
