(I don't remember if I ever mentioned that...) Well, that one is still on the way and I absolutely do not regret it, but I just went to Sparks' official store to buy myself Hippopotamus on vinyl because I've been really into that album lately and I realized I need it, and I saw that two of the Sparks albums I really want- Kimono My House and Propaganda- are now being sold on their site again, and I WANT THEM but they ship from England and are priced 30 pounds each and 20 pounds equaled about $40 total when I ordered the Annette soundtrack so I'm not sure if dropping that kind of money on these two records would be good for me to do, but on the other hand... it's a limited offer! Should I???? I at least need KMH in my collection soon...
I will say, if they ever re-release Introducing Sparks and Lil' Beethoven and Angst In My Pants all on vinyl, I am dropping so much money on those it's not even going to be funny.
And now you see the struggles of being a record collector, except I'm not even a serious collector who cares about obscure pressings and the like, I just love owning records by the bands I love and I can't help if the band I love most of all right now hasn't re-issued most of their selections from their 25 album career and thus original pressings are rare and hard to find and super expensive on Discogs!
Another downside is that my crate used for storing records is full. I'm going to run out of room if I keep buying more, and yet I DON'T WANT TO STOP BUYING MORE.
