between_time_and_42I stayed up last night to watch Jason Sudeikis host SNL and ended up being blown away by Brandi Carlile, who I only knew from her performances on Live From Here and her being a member of The Highwomen, but she was amazing and I’m so glad I saw it. Even more exciting, though, Oscar Isaac made a cameo appearance! I love him so much… He really needs to host SNL now. The sketch in which he made an appearance was a recurring sketch originally introduced in the 2010’s, when my favorite cast (besides the original cast) was on, and Bill Hader always played a prominent part in those sketches, but he’s busy filming Barry season 3 now (!!!!), so we were robbed of a Hader/Isaac duo appearance and that makes me sad. I just want to see those two in the same room together. Oh well, I guess there’s always The Addams Family 2… eh…
Other than that, there wasn’t a lot of stuff I loved about the episode, but it was really nice to see Jason host after having been part of the cast himself back in the day. And he did a sweet Ted Lasso-style monologue, which I loved.
