between_time_and_42It's been about six years since I first heard "Johnny Delusional" by FFS and I only just now understood the line "Wouldn't it be terrible if there's no music there?" and now I am SCREAMING internally because I love it so much
"Words are in my head, but I can't enunciate them clearly. Headphones on your head, they prevent a chance to even try... Wouldn't it be terrible if there's no music there? Wouldn't it be terrible if she don't want you near?" (Meaning: wouldn't it be terrible if she's not actually playing music and is only wearing her headphones to keep the guy from talking to her?)
This is DELIGHTING me. I'm laughing and shaking my head as I type this. God I love this song (and band, and album).
