WIP Wednesday 10

I don't usually like writing out of order (I like to dangle scenes in front of me like a carrot on a stick, to keep myself moving forward trying to get to it), but after I recently found the isolated vocals from a lot of songs from the Ziggy Stardust album, it made me really want to skip ahead a little bit and write about a particular recording session. Context: Pink has been out of town to see Ziggy perform, and while he was there, the news broke out that the Earth is running out of natural resources, with a projected deadline given of five years. Pink and Ziggy witness the violent reactions to this news, and after they return to London, Ziggy wakes Pink up in the middle of the night wanting to share a new song that he's written.
Apparently this isn't too far off from how the actual recording of the song "Five Years" went, except, of course, in my story Ziggy is singing about something that he actually experienced- not only on Earth, but on Mars as well.
