Dec. 2nd, 2020 08:25 pmIs it bad that I listened to a Rolling Stones album for my 52 Records in a Year project, and then I listened to a Spinal Tap album today, and I actually like the fake band better than the real band?
I'm starting to think the Stones being a hit was just a fluke... there is nothing interesting about their music save a few singles here and there.
Anyway, since I cheated a bit by reviewing an EP one week (I meant to only do LPs with occasional EP reviews mid-week), and since I truly enjoyed Spinal Tap's Break Like the Wind so much (they have no right to be as good as they are- while still being bad!), I think I'll do a double whammy of reviews at the end of this month, starting with Break Like the Wind on Monday and ending on the usual Friday with the "comedy" album Andy and His Grandmother (by Andy Kaufman). I'm so intrigued by that album- I really want to know the "real" Andy Kaufman and I feel like that album might be the closest I'll get, even though I'm fully prepared to hate it and him. Also there are apparently interstitial parts recorded by Bill Hader, so of course I have to hear them.
