I finished another fic!

It is nowhere near ready to be posted, being 101 pages long and lacking any sort of editing, but I'm so proud that it's finally done. I started writing this fic back in January of last year, thinking I was writing a one-shot, but then I realized that I wanted to tell the entire story, not just a scene from a character's life. When I post it, it's bound to be the longest work for the entire fandom, too, so that's pretty cool. My only anxiety regarding it is that I've written it from a perspective that's almost entirely foreign to me (a gay man in the 1960's), so I'm a little worried about it being unintentionally insensitive, or not being completely accurate to the time period. The fandom is so small, I'm not sure I'll be able to find anyone to beta-read it and work out the potential issues, but it's definitely something I'm interested in doing. So it might be a while before this thing is posted. Nevertheless, I'm very, VERY proud for having completed it and I can't wait to dive right into the editing process as soon as possible.

Following up on that post about my fic, I have made a list of sources to peruse in my research for it. I have no fewer than 7 sources, including a primary source in the form of a newspaper from the 1950's. Looks like I'll be spending a few hours in the library, and that's on top of the hours I already spent in the library last spring doing research. I've never gone this hard for a fic before, only for school essays. God damn.
